Turkish-African partnership has gained a sustainable structure with the Turkey-Africa Cooperation Summit held in İstanbul on 18-21 August 2008. “The Istanbul Declaration on Turkey-Africa Partnership: Cooperation and Solidarity for a Common Future” and “Cooperation Framework for Turkey-Africa Partnership” adopted during the Summit established a follow-up mechanism. According to this mechanism, II. Turkey-Africa Partnership Summit will be held in 19-21 November 2014 in Malabo, Equatorial Guinea.

The Malabo Summit will adopt a Declaration and Joint Implementation Plan that will guide Turkey-Africa partnership in 2015-2018.

The Summits are concrete indicators of resolute determination on both sides to further Turkey-Africa Partnership.
